Reload Loaded Book 2 edition by Casey Ashwood Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

I really enjoyed Jaco and Sean’s story, with it’s quick pace and the entertaining banter between characters keeping me engaged throughout. Originally introduced in Loaded, we find Jaco struggling to adjust to daily life in the aftermath of escaping his criminal ex-boyfriend. When a series of coincidences bring him in contact with Sean, a detective wondering if he’ll ever find the missing piece in his life, it doesn’t take long for sparks to fly. As they start to take the tentative steps towards building a relationship, I really liked how slowly they took things while they gave themselves time to get to know each other without putting extra pressure on Jaco as he tried to get his life back on track. I loved how attentive Sean was to even the slightest changes in Jaco’s demeanour, his calm and soothing nature was a great balance to Jaco’s anxieties, while Jaco’s energy and enthusiasm brightened Sean’s spirits and injected some sunshine into his life.
I also enjoyed getting a chance to catch up with Eugenio and Denver, who still hold a place in my heart, and am really looking forward to reading more about the men in this series. Max and Camden have caught my attention, and I’d love to know more…
Please note that I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.
A beautiful story of love that grows from an accidental meeting. Not understanding his protective feelings Sean is drawn to Jaco. The love that grows between Sean and Jaco is touching and inspirational.
The saga begun with Eugenio and Denver continues with Sean andJaco. Jaco's evil ex returns to the story bringing pain and anguish.
Casey Ashwood weaves a riveting story from the pain that Jaco endures after the close of the last book. The characters are well developed and the groundwork is set for a third book in this series. A really great read and fully deserves the five stars.
I received an ARC copy of this book in return for an honest review.
Loved getting Jaco's story, he stole my heart in the first book. He is suffering from anxiety due to what happened with his ex and encounters Sean, a detective during one of his episodes. Sean is immediately taken with Jaco and Jaco feels the same. I loved seeing them come together and how protective Sean is of Jaco. The two start seeing each other and then Jaco's ex escapes custody. This story was so sweet and I enjoyed reading about their journey. I received a free advanced reader copy of this book in exchange for an honest and unbiased review
I received this book free for a honest review.

I said in my review of loaded that I wanted Jacos story and I wasn't disappointed by the book.
Jaco is just getting himself sorted and starting to live again after Eric and that involves trying to start something with Sean. I liked that it wasn't Jaco jumping straight into another relationship and he was taking it tentatively.
Jaco was strong yet vulnerable in this book. Sean is protective and caring and very understanding.
But as everything nothing in life is easy and problems arise. Eric comes back, the mental issues left over from him are also a problem for Jaco.
The book is a really good continuation and is well written and fast paced. There are a few spelling grammar mistakes but these don't detract from the story.
I really enjoyed this and now want Max and Camdens story now. There is something there.
After getting to know Jaco in Loaded, Denver and Eugenio's story, I was hoping we'd get to read his story. I was delighted when Reload came out featuring Jaco. I enjoyed reading Jaco and Sean's story. It was wonderful reading how loving and patient Sean was with Jaco and that he provided Jaco with enough love, support, encouragement, and space to help him heal, realize he was worthy and begin to gain confidence and feel in control of his own life. Trust and faith between the characters was born and grew into a strong love. Sean lovingly supported Jaco, making him feel independent and protected, without making him feel like he was being controlled. It was a treat to watch their love grow.

There were a few, random typos, but they didn't overly interrupt the flow of the story. Also, I received an advanced reader copy of this book in exchange for an honest review, so the typos might be flushed out and not appear in the final release.

After getting to know Camden better and meeting Max, I hope that one day they have a story that is shared. Their past history seems incomplete and each seems to remember and have feelings for the other. Casey Ashwood always delivers a wonderful product so whatever she puts out next, be it Camden's story or something completely different, I have no doubt that it will shine, and I can't wait to read it!
3.5 stars

This one picks up with Jaco and his love interest Sean. Everything seems to settle in Jaco life after the terrible ordeal he's experienced at the hand of his ex-boyfriend. Jaco is trying to piece his life back together, he's got a semblance of his life back although he still is a bit jumpy and withdrawn. But knowing his ex has been caught helps a great deal. He's ready to try getting back out on the dating scene.

Sean is a detective and is an acquaintance/coworker of Jaco's cousin. When Jaco steps in front of his moving car he worries for him. But Jaco rebuffs his help. Another meeting is in the works when Jaco signs up for a dating site on the very same day Sean just happens to check a dating website he had been inactive on. They correspond with each other until the two meet face to face when Jaco introduces the two. When things really start looking up for Jaco, things seems to start going wrong.

I enjoyed the start of it but as I got further into the read my attention started to wane. Sean and Jaco were likeable characters but I felt they could get a bit sappy. Usually I don't mind but I just wasn't in the mood for it.

An ARC was provided to me in exchange for an honest review.
Fascinating, brilliantly written sequel. Loved it!
Many surprises! Good reading with balance of sex, mild violence and a lot of heat, Good to read before bed for fantastic dreams. It kept me not wanting to ever take a break. Good reading.
